Add replicas in one click to scale read-heavy workloads.
Managed Postgres now supports up to five read replicas per database, in the same region or in another one.
How it works
- Replicas stream changes from the primary with typical lag under 100 ms
- Each replica gets its own connection string:
DATABASE_REPLICA_URL_1,_2, and so on - Promote a replica to primary during a regional incident
