Our story
Started by engineers tired of babysitting servers
Every team we worked on rebuilt the same deploy pipeline. We decided to build it once, and build it well.
In 2019, three infrastructure engineers kept solving the same problems at every company: deploy scripts, certificate renewals, database backups, and a pager alert for each of them.
We started the platform as a side project with one rule: a developer should go from git push to a healthy, live service without opening a ticket. That rule still decides what we build.
Today the platform runs web services, workers, cron jobs, and managed databases for teams of every size, from two-person startups to public companies. We are still remote, still small, and still run by the engineers who write the code.

Principles
How we build
The rules we use to decide what ships, and what does not.
Boring by default
Deploys should be uneventful. We choose proven defaults over clever ones.
strategy: rollingShip small, ship often
Small changes are easy to review and easy to roll back. We deploy to production many times a day.
git push origin mainNo lock-in
Standard containers, Postgres, and open protocols. Leaving should be as easy as arriving.
pg_dump --format=customDocs are part of the product
A feature is not done until it is documented, with an example you can copy.
docs: requiredOpen about incidents
Every outage gets a public write-up with a timeline, the cause, and what we changed.
postmortem: publicEveryone takes support
We build for the person on call. Every engineer here spends time answering customers.
rotation: everyone
Backers
Funded to stay independent
We raised from investors who back developer tools for the long term, and from engineers who use the platform every day.
