Automate

CLI and API

Script deploys, logs, and scaling from your terminal or any CI pipeline.

Terminal
  1. 1$ cloud login
  2. 2$ cloud deploy --service api
  3. 3→ Building api from main
  4. 4→ Build finished in 34s
  5. 5✓ api is live
  6. 6$ cloud logs api --tail

Everything in the dashboard, from your keyboard

The CLI and REST API cover the same actions as the dashboard, so you can automate any workflow.

  • Fast, scriptable CLI

Deploy, tail logs, open shells, and scale services with short commands.

  • REST API

A documented JSON API with an OpenAPI spec for every resource.

  • Scoped API keys

Create keys limited to one workspace, service, or set of actions.

  • Webhooks

Get deploy, scale, and incident events posted to your own endpoints.

Automate in three steps

Go from manual clicks to a scripted pipeline in a few minutes.

  • npm
  • Homebrew
  • Binary
  • Container

Examples

Same action, three ways

Trigger a deploy from your terminal, your CI provider, or a plain HTTP request.

  • Readable output or JSON
  • Exit codes that CI understands
  • Rate limits that fit automation

Built for automation

Clicking through a dashboard is fine for a first deploy. After that, most teams want deploys to follow tests, environments to be created by scripts, and on-call engineers to check logs without leaving the terminal. The CLI and API make that possible without extra tooling.

What you can automate

Every action in the dashboard is available through the API, and the CLI wraps the most common ones in short commands.

  • Deploys, rollbacks, and promotions between environments
  • Scaling rules, environment variables, and domains
  • Logs, metrics, and shell access for debugging

Keys and permissions

API keys are scoped to a workspace and can be limited to read-only access or to specific services. Every call made with a key is recorded in the audit log with the key name, so automated changes are as traceable as manual ones.
